Apps and software are great, but many tradespeople still swear by a good old-fashioned pad. NCR pads ("no carbon required") create instant copies as you write, so you and your customer both get a copy on the spot. No signal, battery or printer needed.
What are NCR pads?
NCR paper is coated so that pressure from a pen transfers onto the sheet below. Pads come in sets:
- Duplicate: two copies, one for you and one for the customer
- Triplicate: three copies, for example customer, office and accounts
Sheets are often printed in different colours, such as white, yellow and pink, so it's easy to see which copy is which.
